Speaker Introduction:

Academician Guo Boling is a distinguished member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and a renowned expert in applied and computational mathematics. He has long been engaged in research in nonlinear analysis and computational mathematics, dealing primarily with the qualitative theory and numerical methods of certain nonlinear evolution equations, soliton theory, infinite-dimensional dynamical systems, stochastic infinite-dimensional dynamical systems, and fractional partial differential equations. His work includes models such as the Landau-Lifshitz equation, Benjamin-Ono equation, Ginzburg-Landau equation, and quantum fluid dynamics equations. He has published over 500 papers in major national and international journals, authored more than ten books with sixteen volumes of collected papers, including seven published internationally. He has been honored with the National Natural Science First Prize in 1982, Third Prize in 1987, the First Prize for Science and Technology by the Commission of Science, Technology, and Industry for National Defense in 1994 and 1998, and the Second Prize of the Guanghua Science and Technology Foundation in 1996. In 2001, he was elected as an academician of the Division of Mathematics and Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences and received the Ho Leung Ho Lee Prize in 2008. He has also served on various editorial boards and committees, contributing significantly to China's defense and scientific endeavors. Guo Boling has also been an important participant in China's "Two Bombs, One Satellite" project, witnessing and contributing to the development of nuclear capabilities in China, fostering numerous national researchers, including outstanding talents such as distinguished young scholars and second-level professors.
