School of Mathematical Sciences Organizes Employment Salon

On the morning of November 28th, the School of Mathematical Sciences held the seventh session of this semester's counselor work salon in the 204 conference room. Huang Xuebing, Director of the Employment and Entrepreneurship Center, was specially invited to have a face-to-face discussion with counselors about the employment of the 2024 graduates. Qiao Weixin, Party Secretary of the School, Deputy Secretary Gu Lianzhong, and all counselors participated in the event.


Huang Xuebing provided a detailed introduction to the employment situation of the 2024 graduates and the overall status of our university's graduates. The counselors of the graduating classes reported on the employment progress of the students in the school. Huang Xuebing fully affirmed the employment work of the School of Mathematical Sciences and offered four suggestions based on the characteristics of the school's graduates: First, to assist students in career planning and help them understand the employment situation and channels; second, to provide targeted guidance and precise support for employment; third, to expand the employment market based on the reality of the profession; and fourth, to strictly adhere to the requirements of employment work to ensure high-quality employment for graduates.


Qiao Weixin expressed gratitude for Huang Xuebing's affirmation and guidance and emphasized that student employment is a top priority for the school. He asked everyone to master employment policies thoroughly, care for students with love and patience, integrate career education throughout the training process, and track graduates' employment to further advance the school's employment work.


This semester, the School of Mathematical Sciences has already conducted seven counselor work salons focusing on various aspects such as "Role of Student Party Members," "Training of Student Union Leaders," "Student Safety Management," "Physical Education," and "Cybersecurity." The salons invited relevant guests for face-to-face guidance and thorough discussion on related work, effectively enhancing the ability and level of the student management team.
