"Guarding every inch of our beautiful rivers and mountains." On the Karakoram Plateau, located on the western frontier of our motherland, where snow and ice perennially cover the landscape and high altitude brings thin air, there stands a steel wall forged by the youth and blood of steadfast guardians. They brave the snowstorms and challenges, measuring the country's borders with their footsteps, safeguarding the nation's dignity with their very being.

Recently, soldiers stationed in Xinjiang's Taklamakan Desert engaged in a unique and "romantic" interaction spanning thousands of kilometers with the entire student body of the 2021 Zhenzhi class of our institute, through an exchange of letters.

A Letter, a Thousand Miles Away, Carrying More Than Just Concern

When heartfelt letters from the students of Hebei Normal University traveled thousands of miles to reach the hands of these soldiers, the border guards eagerly shared this care from afar. Neatly penned characters and warm wishes filled the hearts of these plateau guards with warmth.

A Letter, Entrusting Hopes for the Nation's Future

Never forgotten, always resonating. After reaching a certain military region in Xinjiang, the sincere words from our students brought immense warmth to the border soldiers. Thirty-five heartfelt responses from the soldiers, traveling across mountains and several regions, finally arrived in Shijiazhuang, Hebei, landing in the students' hands!

A Letter, a Clear Love, Solely for China

The class advisor, Teacher Sui Meiyu, narrated to the students the basic situation of the soldiers guarding the borders. Filled with genuine emotions, the soldiers in their letters earnestly advised the students, hoping they harbor grand ambitions and deeply rooted national sentiments, and pursue their studies for the rise of China.

The students, deeply moved, read the replies and unanimously vowed to live up to the earnest expectations of the border soldiers. They pledged to establish a nation-building spirit of "cultivating the podium, strengthening the country with our presence," dedicating themselves to teaching and nurturing future generations.

This interaction, spanning thousands of kilometers, harbors the sincere love of the border soldiers. It has tightly linked the hearts of Hebei Normal University students with those guarding the borders. In the future, both will strive valiantly in their respective "battle positions," carving out a splendid chapter of youth through their endeavors, contributing their strength to the nation's prosperity and military power!
